Alexander Pavlovich  


Born in Moscow in 1950. Graduated in 1973 from the philological faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University. In 1984 he defended his candidate's dissertation, in 1995 his doctoral dissertation, in 1997 he was awarded the academic title of professor. 1988 to 1994 Head of the Department of French Language of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, from 1997 to 2003. - the Department of Italian Language of the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the Lomonosov Moscow State University, which he created, since 2003, at the Faculty of Arts, he founded the Department of Semiotics and General Theory of Art, founded by him, the first in Europe. Since 2001 - Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Lomonosov Moscow State University.

A.P. Lobodanov enjoys a well-deserved international reputation as a linguist, an expert in the field of theory and history of art. In 2016 he was elected a foreign member of the Bologna Academy of Sciences (Italy) and a full member of the International Academy of Sciences and Higher Education (Great Britain), in 1998 he was elected a foreign member of ASLI at the Academy of Kruska (Florence, Italy), since 1998 he is an expert from the Russian Federation International Committee of Art Experts (Florence, Italy).


Lectures at many universities in Russia, as well as in Rome, Bologna, Pisa, Florence, Peking universities, at the University of New York, etc. He is the chairman of the FUMO for art history of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, is a member of the Expert Council for Philology and Art Studies of the Higher Attestation Commission RF. Awarded with a medal of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, 1st degree.
